First Nations Partner

Golden Eagle Sable Fish is proud to partner with the Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k’tles7et’h’ (Kyuquot Checleseht) First Nations. Kyuquot Sound is a remote pristine inlet on the northwest coast of Vancouver Island. The community of Kyuquot faces the open Pacific Ocean on the extremely rugged edge of the Sound.

Kyuquot Sound is part of the traditional territory of the Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations and they have lived and fished in this area for many centuries.

A Joint Venture Agreement provides the framework for the management of activities in Kyuquot Sound and the development of economic and social opportunities. Our First Nations' partnerships are one of the foundations of our business, along with quality of our sablefish, and ocean stewardship.
